Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge NES megamix
Ferrari have got to turn it around in 2019. If not for the sake of the team then for the sake of the F1 and even motorsports in general. If we have another runaway season with Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, gearheads will quickly be shifting their attention to Formula E if they haven't already.
Most Formula 1 games require a rediculous amount of dedication to learn the handling of the vehicles and the nuances of each course, but don't let Ferrari Grand Prix fool you-- this is as user friendly as racing comes, with fluid controls and an on-screen map so you don't have to memorize the circuits.
The soundtrack by Neil Baldwin adds to the excitement and puts you into a nice rhythm over the course of a 5-lap race. The AI, I guess you could call it, puts up a decent fight. Sometimes you can charge your way through the pack, but half the time you'll be maticulously picking moments when to pass, which is key because spinning out can really hamper your potentional finishing position.
You're expected to make your way up the pack, but don't worry if you're out of the points paying position because you can always continue to the next race. The season is 16 races long and there are plenty of opportunities to rack up points in this enjoyable and simple F1 simulator. You will never read the words simple and F1 together in a sentence ever again.
