klax NES megamix
KLAX pushed the limits of Nintendo's sound chip, and then some. There are tones on this record video game cartridge that haven't been heard before. KLAX's unique soundtrack is the product of Bügsük, a collaboration between LX Rudis and Dave O'Riva.
Trippy vocal samples, heavy bass, a crunchy drumkit, and sophisticated synths teleport KLAX decades ahead of its time. But for some weird reason the music is turned off by default, so make sure you change it to Auto-Select in the options. Was this an oversight or an insult?
Speaking of oversight did you know that you could play KLAX with a friend? Judging from the main menu you wouldn't because there is no 2-player option. However, a friendly 2-player mode can be secretly accessed before the start of each wave. Sneaky.
The tagline says "It is the 90s and there is time for KLAX." It's 2018 and there is still time to play KLAX, or at least listen to soundtrack and have your face properly melted.
