6180 the moon
I appreciate it when a game comes along that respects my time. No cutscenes, tutorials, loading times, or cumbersome interfaces. Throw in a unique gimmick, solid controls, and a stellar soundtrack and they've got my recommendation. Enter 6180 the moon.
I'm not sure what 6180 is supposed to represent (maybe the year) or why the moon lacks capitalization, but after spending about 40 minutes jumping through the top of the screen and coming up from the bottom, I wonder if there are any other platformers out there that use this mechanic.
And this is only the first half of the journey. Once you beat it, the levels reverse and you need to jump down through the screen and come out on top, dodging more needles in search for a black hole. Why doesn't our moon have a proper name anyway?
