Dirt 4
DiRT 4 is both thrilling and easy to pick up thanks to its fluid handling, guided interface, and your co-driver calling out upcoming corners as you speed though rain and snow. When you've gotten tired of listening to her condescending tone you can fire her and hire a proper bloke instead. Except he wants an additional 1% of the cut and is still prone to screwing up. Damnit!
While Rally races have you competing for time along a route up to 13 km long, Rallycross races have you going against opponents over a short circuit for 4 - 6 laps. The racing is good. Joker laps are a joke. Some of them are faster in traffic, but having to race the same track over and over can get old. If they had more then 5 locations things would have been fine...
Speaking of fine, the soundtrack that plays when transitioning between menus is excellent. Many of the tunes have a vocal hook that can be interpreted as a racing metaphor, and helps highlighting how awesome DiRT 4's replay system is. Great jobs guys!
