Ninja Senki DX is a fun and simple platformer that gets everything right in terms of additional content: time trials, coin challenges, no-damage run. The developers know what good platforming is about: control, enemy placement, and a killer soundtrack.

You can even select between the original chiptune soundtrack, or the heavier, more contemporary sounding DX version, both by Patrice Bourgeault. Like many old school style games, you're treated to a palette and a music change every couple levels, which is one of the driving factors in getting further as you maintain the flow of jumping, shooting, and elimianting foes.
