kirby's adventure NES megamix

It's been a pleasure revisiting Kirby's Adventure since it was released on NIntendo Switch. The colorful levels, catchy soundtrack, playful enemies, and ability to copy them makes Kirby's Adventure a joyous and unforgettable journey that any fans of retrogaming or the Kirby series should not skip.

The best ability is the tornado because it lets you get around quickly and build up damage on bosses. It's also mad fun. The movement and controls remind me of Smash Brothers. You can feel little tidbits of influence from the physics and programming that went into Kirby's Adventure in Smash today, no wonder Kirby is the star of World of Light.

I never knew you could earn 30 extra lives by completing the goals in descending order from 7 to 1. Shouldn't be necessary though because there are many opportunities to acquire extra lives-- plus the game isn't too hard anyway. If you find all the secrets you can unlock extra mode, which is harder. Beat that to unlock the soundtrack, which features an unused hidden song that resembles the original Kirby theme on Game Boy.

Crane games piss me off in real life. They're not really games as much they are electronic garbage cans. Don't get your girlfriend a stuffed animal. Get her Kirby's Adventure and a Nintendo Switch instead.
