Lichtspeer

Litchspeer is pretty cool. You play a stationary hero that throws spears at a random assortment of oncoming enemies. Once you've finished a handful a waves it's on to the next screen. There's just enough variety and changes to the characters and environments that keep the game moving forward, and the puzzling boss fights are great!

The creepy faces and tripped out visuals complete the experience. There's also a co-op mode that was added at some point. It's a fun distraction that's worth revisiting on a rainy day. Or a sunny day for most hardcore indie gamers. The best part is when your spear impales someone in the face. It's satisfying and addictive. And it's worth more points.

The soundtrack by Marcin Sonnenberg is very fitting and carries the unique flavor. If you really enjoy stabbing people but want to keep your distance try playing Lichtspeer.
